U.S. attorney general pick says he has discussed Mueller probe with Pence

In written answers to questions posed by Senate Judiciary Committee members, Barr also said he has discussed with Justice Department officials the issue of recusing himself from overseeing Mueller's investigation into Russia's role in the 2016 election. Under current rules, Mueller can be fired only for misconduct or other wrongdoing.
